POLICY ENGAGEMENT AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

13 March 2026

Sustainable progress in disability inclusion requires strong collaboration between organizations, institutions, and decision-makers who shape policies and public services. While many countries have policies that support the rights of persons with disabilities, gaps often remain between policy commitments and real-life access to inclusive services for women and girls with disabilities.

Our policy engagement work focuses on contributing to conversations and initiatives that promote more inclusive laws, policies, and service systems. We engage with government agencies, policymakers, and development partners to advocate for policies that recognize the unique needs and experiences of women and girls living with disabilities.

Through policy dialogues, stakeholder consultations, and collaborative forums, we work to ensure that disability inclusion is integrated into broader discussions on healthcare, education, social protection, gender equality, and economic development. We also contribute insights from community experiences and program implementation to inform policy design and improvement.

Strategic partnerships are central to our approach. By working closely with NGOs, healthcare institutions, research bodies, academic organizations, and private sector partners, we strengthen the collective capacity to deliver inclusive programs and services. These partnerships enable knowledge sharing, resource coordination, and the development of innovative solutions that address barriers faced by women and girls with disabilities.

Through collaborative action and sustained engagement with policy actors, we aim to contribute to systems that are more inclusive, responsive, and accessible, ensuring that women and girls with disabilities are not left behind in national development efforts.
